PRESS CLIPPINGS Date: 12-Oct-2007 Title: NAB contradicts Dawn report Islamabad, October 12: A spokesman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has categorically denied a news item appeared in a section of press under the headline “NAB removes names of accused from its website”. The spokesman while clarifying the factual position termed the news story as speculative. He said that no deletions have been made from the website since July this year which is indicated by the quarterly update of NAB operation covering period April – June available on the website.

NAB sets up Fraud and Anti-Corruption Hotline

PRESS CLIPPINGS Date: 7-Dec-2007 Title: NAB sets up Fraud and Anti-Corruption Hotline Islamabad, December 07: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on the eve of International Anti-Corruption Day has established a ‘Fraud and Anti Corruption Hotline at HQ NAB Islamabad and its regional offices situated in Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta and Karachi. The establishment of the Hotline 111-NAB-NAB or 111-622-622 is aimed at facilitating direct contact by general public to lodge complaints of corruption and corrupt practices. The hotline will be operational from 9th December 2007. NAB complaint officers will receive complaints from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. during all working days from Monday to Friday. NAB has assured the complainants that their identity will be kept confidential. An IT based complaint management system is also being put into operation.
