The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100-share index gained 91.44 points or 0.74 percent to close at 12,495.68 points as compared to 12,404.24 points of the previous session.

The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100-share index gained 91.44 points or 0.74 percent to close at 12,495.68 points as compared to 12,404.24 points of the previous session. The KSE 30-share index was up by 99.61 points to close at 11,671.63 points as compared with 11,572.02 points. Analysts said other contributing factor included record earnings announcements and payouts in oil, banks and fertilizer stocks. The market turnover rose 13.47 percent and traded 233.26 million shares from its opening at 205.56 million shares. The overall market capitalisation increased 0.74 percent to Rs 3.257 trillion as against Rs 3.233 trillion. Gainers beat losers 138 to 121, while 81 stocks were unchanged.
