Dozens people killed and injured in firing on the occasion of the visit of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhamamd Chaudhry, who was also disallowed to come out of the airport.
A 2-member bench of SHC comprising Justice Shahid Anwar and Justice Nisar Ahmad Sheikh took up a petition, seeking probe into the violence. The petition has been filed by Saeed Iqbal Kazmi.
The court ordered that summon notice of Pervez Musharraf was being issued and it be got published by the petitioner in the news papers of London so that it could come into the notice of former president. Petition has been filed in SHC against Pervez Musharraf in regard to May, 12 incident, therefore, he is directed to appear in the court, bench further ordered.
SHC also ordered that the expenses on this advertisement would be borne by the petitioner.
The bench also recommended to the Chief Justice SHC to constitute larger bench to hear the petition.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till April, 3.
