Munir Malik to be treated abroad

KARACHI: Former Supreme Court Bar Association president Munir A Malik has been allowed to go abroad for further treatment as his condition has stabilised. Malik was reportedly taken to the city passport office in an ambulance for a fresh passport, only to find that his CNIC has been blocked. According to sources close to him, the NADRA authorities of Sindh told the wards of the ailing lawyer that no action was taken by them. Malik’s well-wishers then approached the NADRA top brass and were told in response to bring some documents including the NIC of his mother so that this CNIC could be unblocked. ar qureshi

واشنگٹن(ثناء نیوز ) امریکی محکمہ دفاع پنٹاگون نے کہا ہے کہ پاکستان میں رکے ہوئے کنٹینرز کی جلد روانگی کے لیے تکنیکی امور پر اسلام آباد کے ساتھ مل کر کام کر رہے ہیں۔ پینٹاگون کے ترجمان کا کہنا ہے کہ پاکستان کو دیئے جانے والے کولیشن سپورٹ فنڈ کی فراہمی کے طریقہ کار میں کسی قسم کی تبدیلی نہیں کی جارہی ہے۔ پینٹاگون کے ترجمان جان ایف کربی کا کہنا تھا کہ کولیشن سپورٹ فنڈ کی فراہمی کا اپنا طریقہ کار ہے اور میڈیا پر آنے والی ایسی خبروں میں کوئی صداقت نہیں کہ فنڈ کی فراہمی کے طریقے کو نیٹو سپلائی کی بحالی کے بعد تبدیل کیا جارہا ہے۔ انکا مزید کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان کی جانب سے فنڈز کا مطالبہ 2011میں کیا گیا تھا اور ہم اس پر کام کر رہے ہیں۔ امریکی محکمہ دفاع کے مطابق 2002 سے پاکستان کیلئے آٹھ اعشاریہ آٹھ بلین ڈالر جاری کئے جاچکے ہیں اور آخری قسط دسمبر 2010 میں چھے سو تینتیس ملین ڈالر کی جاری کی گئی تھی۔ پنٹاگون کا کہنا ہے کہ پاکستان کو اتحادی سپورٹ فنڈ کے ایک ارب 10 کروڑ ڈالر ضابطے کی کارروائی کے بعد ادا کیے جائیں گے. واشنگٹن میں امریکی محکمہ دفاع کے ترجمان کیپٹن جان کربی نے صحافیوں کو بریفنگ دیتے...
